Excited Rant from a Queensland Sweethart

It is finally looking a lot like Spring up this end of Oz. The flowers are in bloom and half the population have swapped their oversized knits for fine cardis or no knitwear at all. While I'm writing this on my computer at 6pm on a Tuesday night I'm wearing a floral summer dress and denim waistcoat. Who would have thought?

It's been ages since I've been able to walk out my house without stockings, tights or jeans. The legwarmers and stockings have made a transition to the back of the wardrobe, althought I'm not quite ready to put my knits away, as I adore my longline cardis.

Spring sales are everywhere too. You can go and pick up a floral dress or a shirt dress or an aline skirt for only $30 at Dotti or Ice Design. Diva & Equip are blasting with Bohemian madness and so it seems the feminine floral is very much in.

Yes I already miss shopping for corporate blazers and jeans, but that will soon pass as it's so much fun to shop for cute boleros and maxi dresses. Bazaar it may sound but I'm actually looking forward to showing off some leg, whether other people want me to or not.
