Colonial Fashion

History is one of the most amazing subjects. It's so broad yet there are so many concise disciplines to choose from. Many people would know about Marie Antoinette and the cake as well as Henry VIII & his six wives. Almost every history student has written about the Spartans or Mark Antony's love for Cleopatra; yet how much do you really know? Ha. I've gotten you there.

Every single one of these is another countrys history. What about our history? What about Australia? It may be a strong country but so much has happened already. Think about the discovery, the convicts, the aboriginal vs anglo-saxon battles, the fight for women rights. All this in just over two hundred years.

Well someone has started to taken notice. The world over is now bowing to colonial period fashion. Corsets and bonnets are gracing the catwalks in France & Mulan. Australia may just be the inspiration for the greatest collections of our time and students fall asleep in history. Will we ever learn?
