Good morning my sweetharts,
I know how much you LOVE the links I have been preparing for you each week in this weekly rambles but I've decided to make a change to the weekly post; instead of link I will write briefly on something I've been thinking about, not necessarily on what I've been doing but it could be something I have learnt about at university or enjoy. The first new improved 'Weekly Ramble" will be of course on models. What else?
Models have been part of society for centuries. They were here before photography or film, before radio or cars. These days, the 21st century in particular models are used to advertise both products and programs (such as PETA'S "Fur? I'd rather go naked" campaign). Models are often criticised for their behaviour outside the workplace. Kate Moss parties it up and has been photographed used several illegal substances and she's a fashion favourite among young women.
The problem that is 'arising' today, according to parents and several media outlets, is that these models are role models for young girls and they are not doing a very good job. Anorexia has been found in girls in Australia as young as five years old but is model behaviour to blame? Teenager substance abuse is on the rise but is model behaviour to blame? I think not. Models are models not role models and honestly what five year old picks up the latest gossip magazine to find Moss' party antics? Girls and their parents should know better than to blame these professionals for their problems.
LOVE KATE MOSS as a model.
She's professional.
Don't care about after hours.
