Formal Frenzy

Funny enough my senior formal was on Friday. The men were all oh so dashing and the girls were a vision in their lengthy, and some not-so-lengthy formal gowns. It was not a night for the trends, but one for class. Trends made a rare appearance in fact, with only a bare handful draped in one shoulder silk gowns and only a couple of shear dresses, but that's not to say that everyone wasn't looking their best.

One of my best Friends besided to turn up in a short bubble number with neutral stockings, black heels and black gloves. Not quite the one who likes to dress up but she did quite well and even got her hair cut especially for the occasion. Another of my friends chose to design her own dress, a red moulin rouge number with a slight to the side to prove it. This dress was sexy, although classy at the same time and worked for her perfectly.

Among others was another girl who chose to channel Paris Hilton. She was dressed in pale pink with hollywood curls, her skirt pinned to resemble that of Beauty from Beauty and the beast. This was a dress captivated everyone in the room, setting off cameras and gossip about who, what & how.



With the good came the bad. Tandoori tans, purple hair, popping breasts and hairy legs. Surely that isn't that bad though, namely saying that I did not mention anyone's dress being a breach of the formal code.

During the formal of course there were the moments you wished had never happened, although loved to laugh at all the same. My moment would have to be when one of my friends and I accidently flung a bread stick off the table.
